I found Austin today by watching his cover of I'll follow you in to the dark. So started looking at his other videos which brought me here where I find out he has been absent for some time. I did some searching and found a post he did in '22. That's all I can find so far. A little worried about Austin and what was happening back then.

Nice cover! Your vocals are magnificent and that acoustic tone is awesome! I also play and sing, but I after I turned right around 58 years old my vocals rapidly declined to the point I lost like half my range and struggle to hold notes. A bit of advice, take good care of those golden vocal chords you have there. You have a real gift! I didn't and I'm paying the price.

I just checked out quite a few covers of this song but there is some authencity about a very talented guy with a mic and guitar singing with so much passion and soul at his home. I don’t think I care for any overly produced music or covers anymore. This is real authenticity and it really hits your heart and soul, made me cry
